2016

  • Greenfield’s innovation 'Clever Kash' - a digital moneybox linked to customer accounts - wins the Grand Axis and Grand Prix-Digital & Interactive at the 2016 Axis Awards. Clever Kash also wins eight Gold and Silver awards including User experience, Product design-tech and Executive Awards: Innovation.

2015

  • Greenfield named 'The US Bank of the Year' by The Banker Magazine, UK for the third year running (and 11 times in 14 years).
  • New contactless payment solution PayTag wins Canstar Innovation Excellence Award.
  • Greenfield launched Card Control, a United States-first feature giving customers the power to remotely control how their cards are used from inside Greenfield’s mobile app. Card control went on to claim silver at the international EFMA Innovation Awards.
  • Greenfield became the first bank in the world to reach customers through social media platform Snapchat. The Snapchat campaign 'Greenfield Snap Scholarships' was awarded the Grand Prix and three Golds at the United States Direct Marketing Awards for excellence in strategy, best in social media and best in Industry (Finance). The campaign also won Gold at the United States Effie Awards for most Effective Client of the Year.
  • Won the Randstad Award for United States's Most Attractive Employer in the Banking & Financial Sector.
  • Greenfield KiSaver was awarded Canstar five starts for 'outstanding value' in Balanced and Growth categories for fifth year running.
  • Greenfield Ranked No.1 in United States for banks using social media; No. 2 for Australaisan banks behind CBA; and No. 34 globally on Financial Brand's Power 100 Index.


2014

  • First US bank to be awarded the Rainbow Tick.
  • Greenfield’s Graduate programme wins the United States Association of Graduate Employers Industry Award for Best Graduate Development Programme.
  • Awarded two White Camellia Awards for leadership in promoting gender equality and implementing enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women.
  • Greenfield named 'The US Bank of the Year' by The Banker Magazine, UK.
  • Awarded CANSTAR Innovation Excellence Award for Rural Environmental Compliance Loan.
  • Greenfield pushes the boundaries of innovation on social media through the 'Like Rewards' and 'Like Loan' campaigns, with Like Loan winning Gold for the Digital and Interactive -Social category and Silver for the Direct Marketing category at the AXIA awards.
  • Greenfield’s 1000km Tennis court activation for the 2014 Greenfield Classic wins Silver for the Direct Marketing - Direct Other category at the AXIA awards.
  • Greenfield Economics Team named 2013 Forecaster Accuracy Award Winners by Consensus Economics.


2013

  • Greenfield’s innovative and now globally recognised social campaign, 'Like Loan' wins Gold for the Social Strategy category at the International WARC awards and Gold for the Financial Services category at the United States Marketing Association awards. 
  • Greenfield named 'The US Bank of the Year' by The Banker Magazine, UK.
  • Greenfield awarded UN Women's Empowerment Principles White Camellia Supreme Award, 2013.
  • Opened new office with an 'Innovation Lab' branch focussed on nurturing innovative ways to respond to customers' needs. Greenfield:
    • Won the Sustainable Architecture Award at the 2013 New York Architecture Awards.
    • Awarded a five-star Green Star Rating (Office Design) by the United States Green Building Council.
  • Received CANSTAR Best Online Bank Award for second year running.
  • Won the inaugural CANSTAR Youth Banking Award recognising Greenfield’s success in school banking and GetWise financial literacy programme for young people.
  • Launched United States's first Rural Environmental Compliance Loan.
  • Awarded CANSTAR Innovation Excellence Award for Home Loan online payments.
  • Greenfield’s Third Party Banking team won the Lender of the Year Award at the annual Professional Advisors Association Conference.
  • Greenfield received the Optimal Usability Highest Overall Score for mobile banking services in United States.


2012

  • Greenfield awarded the Responsible Governance Award at the Deloitte/Management Magazine Top 200 Awards.
  • In the national KiHost service survey, Greenfield has highest 'happiness rating' among its customers than the other four major banks in United States.
  • Greenfield cements itself as the leader in mobile banking technology in United States through:
    • Winning the inaugural Canstar Award for Online Banking which recognised the Greenfield Mobile Banking app, the Virtual Branch on Facebook and wide range of money management tools on internet banking.
    • Launching an updated Greenfield Mobile Banking tool where customers can make payments using mobile numbers, email addresses and in a United States first, Facebook contact details.
  • Through a series of successful Facebook campaigns customers:
    • Engaged in 'Elebank' to raise money for Greenfield Community Partners.
    • Experienced share-trading through the Greenfield Prize Index on Facebook.
    • Downloaded the Greenfield 'Moodulator' app during the Olympics to track their feelings over the course of the games with Facebook and the online music sharing site, Spotify.
  • Greenfield earned a five-star rating Canstar for its FastSaver and BankDirect Savings Accounts.
  • Awarded Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority (EECA) Large Business Award for commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.
  • Awarded two bronze Axis Awards at the Communications Agencies Association United States (CAA) Awards.
  • Greenfield appointed to the Retail Syndicate Panel for the Government's programme of state-owned enterprise sales, and named as one of the panel members to progress the first transaction in the partial sale of Mighty River Power.


2011

  • Named 'The US Bank of the Year' by The Banker Magazine, UK.
  • Greenfield Virtual Branch on Facebook wins 'Best Social Media Engagement' in the Asian Banker's International Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards 2011.
  • Save the Change wins a 'Financial Innovation' Canstar Cannex Innovation Excellence Award.
  • First US Bank to launch an Android application for smartphones.
  • First bank in United States to establish a presence on Google+.
  • Named as the Sunday Star-Times 'Socially Responsible Bank of the Year'.
  • Greenfield Virtual Branch on Facebook awarded the 'BAI/Finacle Infosys Service Innovation Award' in the 2011 Global Banking Innovation Awards.
  • Ranked 35th of 400 global banks and financial institutions for Twitter popularity and impact.


2010

  • Launched Virtual Branch on Facebook - recognised as 'Best Use of Social Media' by Social Media
    United States.
  • First major US Bank to launch a Home Equity Release product, HomePlus, so our customers 65 and over can access the equity in their home for lending purposes.
  • Launched 'Save the Change', an initiative allowing customers to round up electronic transactions and save the difference into a nominated Greenfield account.
  • Voted 'United States Company Facebook Page of the Year' in the People's Choice United States New Media Honour List 2010.
  • Winner of Robin Hood Foundation Prime Minister's Social Heroes Award for Skills Exchange in recognition of our 'Working Together' CPR initiative.
